The show house season is upon us! If your mom is a fan of home interior design or interior decoration, this San Francisco tradition is a good way to spend an afternoon. Taking place from April 28th through May 28th, this year’s designer showcase house in the Marina District will be open on Mother’s Day, ready to ignite your mom’s interior decoration imagination. A real treat for anyone who loves home interior design, the event benefits the San Francisco’s University High School. In the past 41 years, the showcase has raised nearly $16 million for this worthy cause.
The Walt Disney Family Museum
From the first gallery showcasing Walt Disney’s mother’s wedding dress to the lovely outdoor café featuring local market fare, the museum is a testament to the man who brought so much joy to so many families, including his own. Located in the Presidio and lovingly curated by Walt’s daughter, Diane, your mom is sure to enjoy taking in the displays of family treasures, including miniatures from Walt’s own collection. The warm and inviting series of exhibits are a wonderful way to spend a leisurely morning or afternoon.
