SEASIDE INSPIRED
As a busy family of five, this client enlisted my help to transform their dated two-story home into a modern space for entertaining large groups and for their teenage kids to hang out with friends. I worked alongside this client to overhaul their entire home with a focus to create a soothing home inspired by light wood tones, earth tones and family friendly materials.
After knocking out walls to create a large kitchen island for entertaining, we finished the island with custom white oak herringbone end panels. Adding architectural interest, a hand scraped wire-brushed mantle compliments the smooth, subtle texture of the plaster fireplace in the family room. Performance fabric swivel chairs and a natural wool rug create a “hang out” space for the teenagers and their friends. The living room evokes a seaside inspired palette with warm neutrals, natural textures of linen and jute, alongside a sleek modern fireplace spotlighting an organic tile, perfect for adult mingling and entertaining.
The bathrooms are finished with crisp white shiplap and custom white oak vanities to create fresh spaces for getting ready that are both textured and timeless.
